Return On Investment - ROI
AdvertismentWhen we talk about ROI on certain businesses which is more likely what is the percentage of return per year after you have invested amount money. Lets say you have put in 100,000 dollars into one businesses and your annual return is 10,000 then your ROI is 10% where 10,000/100,000 x 100%.
But one thing I need to point out here is a lot of people do not minus out the expenses to calculated their ROI especially when they are bosses and employee at the same time. which mean that if you have yearly expenses (including paid salary) of 7000 dollars your actually ROI is actually 3%. But people are just thinking they still make 10% ROI. this is really big differences because the first is 10 year to get back your investment while the second is almost 30 years.
Outside there is a lot of scam scheme telling people they could make up to 30% ROI and misleading people to invest on such scheme. They just don’t tell you have the cost of operation is actually up to 28% and you may get 2% of return and you paid their salary to run their businesses. So beware of this scam when they tell you 30% ROI.
